I’m writing my vows and making it personal. I expect you to do the same. It just doesn’t seem heartfelt when grooms repeat after a minister, although I’m sure grooms mean what they’re repeating. I don’t want 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 read at our wedding unless we’re talking about God’s love for us.
